Pactiv to Expand in Canandaigua, Add 220 New Jobs and Invest $73 Million on Facility Expansion
Pactiv Corporation, a leading producer of name-brand consumer products and packaging for the food service and food packaging industries, will invest more than $73 million to expand its manufacturing plant in Canandaigua, said Daniel Gundersen, chairman, Empire State Development/Upstate. Full story
Rochester Insulated Glass Continues Double Digit Growth
Empire State Development Chairman/Upstate Daniel Gundersen announced that Rochester Insulated Glass (RIG), a leading manufacturer of insulated and heat-treated glass, will invest $8.65 million in a 70,000 square-foot expansion of its existing Manchester-based (Ontario County) facility that would include the creation of new product line capability. Infotonics Center Awarded $3M
The Infotonics Center in Canandaigua has been awarded a $3 million grant from the Economic Development Administration in the US Department of Commerce. The funds will help the center incubate businesses in the fields of photonics, information systems and optics and create approximately 200 jobs. Full story
