RFP Process
This RFP will proceed via a two-stage process. The first stage will solicit program concepts and ensure that they embody the principles described above. Finger Lakes WIRED expects to select a number of program concepts whose partners will be eligible to submit full proposals. From those proposals, one to two initiatives will be selected for funding.
Initial stage proposal due date: 4 pm, August 15, 2008
Funding will determined in two stages:
Respondents are invited to submit a concept paper, no more than three (3) pages in length. Respondents must include the following:
- Brief description of the basic program idea
- List of all relevant partners
- Overall program objectives
- Brief description of how the proposed program addresses the key principles described above
- Estimated total program cost
A committee will review the concept papers. Respondents are encouraged to submit concepts which demonstrate how attention to the key principles has shaped their concept and will guide the proposed activities. Strong responses may not necessarily address each item in the description above and/or may address other factors that further embody the broad principles.
Finger Lakes Wired expects to select a short list of responses that most clearly address the key principles and will be invited to participate in Stage Two.
Due Date
Stage One Concept Papers (1 original and 2 copies) should be sent to Pat Piles, Project Manager Finger Lakes Wired, 255 N. Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14607 and are due no later than 4:00 pm on August 15, 2008. Electronic submissions will not be accepted.
Concept Selection
Responses invited to participate in Stage Two will be announced by August 29, 2008
